Since we hadn’t looked at Regions Bank savings account rates in a month or so, we here at Bank Rate Reviews thought we should look at them again to see how Regions saving account offers have changed. We looked at both money market and standard savings to see what Regions Bank high yield savings plans are availalble.

Right now, two money market rates are available plus a few Regions savings account offers. The standard money market account has a $2,500 minimum deposit while the platinum requires a $15,000 minimum deposit.

Rates are tiered according to deposit/balance amounts. For Regions Bank high interest savings in these money markets, the standard pays 0.10% annual percentage yield (APY) for up to $9,999 in deposits. That goes up to 0.15% for up to $24,999 and 0.20% APY for up to $49,999 and then 0.25% APY above that.

The same tiers are for platinum relationship money markets for Regions Bank rates, but the yields are higher. For $15,000 to $19,999, the yield is 1.01% APY, then 1.75% APY for anything over that. This is a good Regions Bank high yield savings option.

Regions savings account yields are the same no matter the deposit amount, so for $0 or up, the return is 0.10% APY. If you have a significant amount to deposit, consider a different option. Lifegreen Savings options for Regions Bank high interest savings yields 0.25% APY no matter the deposit.

The current Regions Bank rates are comparable to other banks and are slightly lower than they were last month. Regions Bank high yield savings offers have no specials right now, as they did last month. All Regions Bank accounts are FDIC insured.
