It’s time once again to check on the Regions Bank money market interest rates, and see how they’ve changed. The last time we looked at them here at Bank Rate Reviews, they had several options to choose from and rates were tiered according to balance total.
This hasn’t changed, though the annual percentage yield (APY) goes up to 0.25% now ($50,000+ deposit). The lowest is at 0.05% APY for deposits under $2,500. They go up in 0.05% increments at $2,500, $10,000, and $25,000 intervals.
Regions Bank rates change often, of course, on a variable rate account like a Regions money market rates account. Minimum balances of at least $2,500 must be kept to avoid fees on your Regions interest rates.
A Platinum Relationship Regions money market interest rates account is available. This one is tiered as before, but has typically higher rates (roughly 1% APY) and a minimum balance requirement of $15,000.
While we were looking, we checked the high yield Regions Bank rates for savings and saw that they aren’t as good as Regions money market rates right now. They have much lower balance requirements ($50), however.
Regions interest rates on both high-yield savings and Regions money market rates are compounded daily. They’re definitely worth a look if you’re in the Regions Bank operating area. All Regions Bank account are FDIC insured.
