While looking at Regions Bank rates, we here at Bank Rate Reviews had a look at what is offered in Regions money market interest rates and deals. We thought that you would be interested in what is available.
Regions money market rates come in two packages, but we also thought you’d want to know what their high-yield savings account can do for you too. The two Regions money market interest rates of note are the Regions Money Market and the Platinum Relationship Money Market.
The standard Regions Money Market gives interest on balances above $2,500 daily. Tiered rates start at that point and climb, with the next tier at $10,000 and the next at $25,000 and the top tier at $50,000. The account carries a $10 per month service charge unless the minimum balance of $2,500 is kept.
The Platinum Relationship Money Market Regions Bank account is also tiered with a minimum balance of $15,000 required to waive the account service fee of $15. Tiers start at that point and are then at $20,000, $30,000, and $100,000. Regions interest rates on these Platinum accounts are generally a little more than 1% higher than those on standard Regions money market rates.
Finally, we promised a look at the higher-yield savings Regions Bank account. They have a $50 minimum balance to open and the annual percentage rate varies with the Fed. These accounts are also tiered, with the second tier starting at $2,500, the third at $10,000, the fourth at $25,000, and the last at anything over $50,000. To waive the monthly fee of $4, a minimum balance of $300 is required.
All three of these Regions interest rates are compounded daily. We thought that they were definitely worth a look by our readers. Rates change quickly, so be sure to do so soon. Regions is FDIC insured.
